Local production Sons of a Bitch has now completed its final block of shooting, bringing the project to a wrap. Well done and congratulations to all the local cast and crew involved. We look forward to seeing it on screen.

Koawa’s first purpose-built studio is also nearing completion. Some will get an early look in the first week of April, when Screen NZ International hosts a mixer at the site. It will be interesting to see the level of interest this new Canterbury asset generates.

In February, a Chinese EV manufacturer visited the region for a shoot, making use of Canterbury’s landscapes for a new vehicle campaign.

And finally, a warm welcome to Meg Huston, who has stepped into the role of Screen CanterburyNZ Manager. Meg joined the recent branch meeting, giving local crew the chance to connect and get a sense of the direction ahead for the region.
