Greenlit: Sustainability Training & Placements

New sustainability training and funded placements from Greenlit are creating more opportunities for screen crews and producers.

Greenlit is expanding its work to build sustainability capability across Aotearoa’s screen sector, with new training opportunities and funded placements for productions.

The first Sustainability Manager Training cohort is now full and will get underway at the end of September, with support from the Vista Foundation. The training builds on the existing community of sustainability crew working in Aotearoa, with a focus on embedding best practice and growing the pool of skilled people ready to lead sustainability work on productions.

The programme will be followed by a series of funded pilot placements, supported by the New Zealand Film Commission. Greenlit will cover the sustainability manager’s fees for a number of local productions, giving productions the opportunity to bring a skilled sustainability manager on board.

Greenlit is also taking expressions of interest for its new Producer Sustainability Training, launching later this year with support from NZ On Air. Designed for producers at all levels, the training will focus on helping producers get the most out of implementing sustainability practices on their productions.
