Nominations are now OPEN for the WIFT NZ Awards!

WIFT NZ has officially opened nominations for the 2026 WIFT NZ Awards - a prestigious event celebrating the phenomenal women and gender diverse creatives who are shaping the future of Aotearoa’s screen industry.

This year’s awards ceremony will be held on 12 March 2026 at the iconic St Matthew-in-the-City in Auckland.

Who can nominate?

Nominations are open to all genders, including self-nominations.

Nominees must:

• Identify as women or gender diverse
• Work in New Zealand’s screen industry
• Do not need to be WIFT members

Nominations close Sunday 9 November at 5:00pm

WIFT NZ encourages everyone to put forward the strongest possible case for their nominees. Judges may not be familiar with every person’s work, so thoughtful, detailed nominations will make all the difference.
