Key Dates

• Applications open: Wednesday 18 March 2026, 9am
• Applications close: Sunday 18 April 2026, 11.59pm
• Decision by: Tuesday 19 May 2026

$67,500 will be distributed to eligible productions by an independent advisory panel made up of established members of industry.

Production Grants Eligibility

Production grants are available where:

• You have funding or finance in place
• You are filming for 15 days or more in Ōtautahi Christchurch or Waitaha Canterbury
• At least 40% of your production crew will be locally hired
