Work continues across Queenstown with drama and TVCs, as new initiatives emerge and potential projects begin to circulate.

Queenstown is keeping busy with our favourite drama series, A Remarkable Place to Die, a few TVC’s shot this month (thanks Batch & Film Construction) and Zelda came to play for a couple of weeks.

Screen International NZ hosted an function to let industry know what they have been doing and their plans for the future - some great initiatives to help build our industry.

And announced this month - the Ayrburn Screen Hub referral application under the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024 (the “Act”) was accepted by the Minister for Infrastructure under section 21(1)(c) and is being referred under section 26(2)(a). This decision allows Waterfall Park Developments Limited to lodge a substantive application for the Ayrburn Screen Hub under section 27(2) of the Act. A step closer for the screen hub that Winton Developments are planning.

There are some of TVCs shooting as we move into Autumn and rumours of some projects heading our way.

Hoping that they firm up and we have work to keep us all busy (as well as leaving some time for skiing!)
