Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista are anything but warm and fuzzy in the first trailer for The Wrecking Crew, the upcoming action-comedy from Amazon MGM Studios.

Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, the film begins streaming on Prime Video on January 28.

Set primarily in Hawaii, The Wrecking Crew follows estranged half-brothers Jonny (Jason Momoa) and James (Dave Bautista), who are forced back into each other’s lives while investigating their father’s mysterious death. Their uneasy reunion quickly escalates when the yakuza begin hunting them, pulling the mismatched duo into a high-stakes fight for survival.

In addition to its Hawaiian setting, The Wrecking Crew was extensively filmed in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, where local streets, neighbourhoods and infrastructure were transformed to double for Hawaii. The production made wide use of Auckland locations, including South Auckland, engaging local communities and employing a large number of New Zealand cast, crew and extras. The shoot contributed significant economic activity to the region and showcased Auckland’s versatility as an international production hub.
