Film Otago Southland Supporting Local Filmmakers to attend Doc Edge 2026 Travel Grants

Doc Edge Industry is coming to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland 29 June - 01 July and Film Otago Southland is proud to support two local filmmakers with a travel grant valued at $500 each to help two regional screen industry professionals attend the Industry Forum.

Doc Edge festival offers a great platform for screen professionals from New Zealand and abroad to come together to meet, share ideas, network, problem solve, and ultimately make great content! All in all, it’s a fantastic industry event with world class guests and keynote speakers and we want to help you get there.

‍Doc Edge Industry Dates: 29 June – 01 July 2026

In order to be eligible for this grant, you must permanently reside in either Otago or Southland, and be able to commit to attending the industry days taking place in Auckland on 29 June - 01 July 2026.  Further eligibility criteria applies.

Applicants can attend as much of the festival as they wish but the focus of this grant is to help them attend the industry event as noted above.
‍
All eligible applications will be screened by Film Otago Southland before going into a draw.

Applications close Friday 29 May, 5pm NZST.
