The second season of Secrets at Red Rocks wrapped shooting in April, and since then the biggest game in Te Whanganui-a-Tara has been the “Juicy Sweet” project commencing principle photography at Stone St in Te Motu Kairangi.
New faces have joined the crew ranks, as well as some not-so-new faces from previous jaunts around middle earth.
Elsewhere, Awa Films have been shooting Kiri, “a supernatural drama set in the 80s”, throughout late May and June. Aside from that, the usual menu of small-scale commercials, government, corporate and NGO content continues.
While the southerly weather has kept the down vests and beanies on here at home, crew with their eyes on the horizon are excited about the prospect of T-shirts and sunglasses, with pre-production work commencing for a job in a more tropical part of Polynesia later in the year.
Before then though, many are looking forward to the NZIFF kicking off in August.
