Revised 5% Uplift Test for live action productions is now available
Productions can increase their rebate from 20% to 25% by meeting additional criteria.

A new points test for the Production Rebate 5% Uplift is now available for the NZSPR-International. Updated Criteria and FAQs have been uploaded to NZFC’s website.
Application forms for the 2026 Criteria have been also updated in the Tomo Mai online portal (note: if you have a draft application in progress, you’ll need to start a new one for the changes to take effect).
Applicants for the Production Rebate 5% Uplift that hold a current Provisional Certificate under the 2026 Criteria can choose to either complete the updated Points Test, or remain under their existing test when submitting a final application.
