12 A. Constitution Amendments

These changes have been made due to the Screen Industry Workers Act collection bargaining that came into law in December 2022. Also the changes to our membership /subscribers tiers since we have changed to the new website. Plus changes to the Incorporated Societies Act that is coming into force shortly. We chose to update the constitution now to make sure we are fully compliant with the rules and regulations.

12 C. Membership Pricing Adjustments

Over the last couple of years we have all felt the increases in inflation and general costs to living. In order to continue the Guild’s ability to provide optimal service, expanded offerings and support to our members and the wider sector we are proposing a small pricing change for monthly subscription fees. These fees will not increase until 1st April 2024 and our annual subscription fees will remain the same.

Please see the proposed new fee structure below:

Student - From $10.50/mth to $13.00/mth
Standard - From $20.50/mth to $25.00/mth
Gold Card - From $5.50/mth to $6.50/mth

12 E. Electronic Voting system (SIWA and future AGM’s)

We propose the development of an electronic voting system to be used in preference to a manual paper system for use in SIWA / Collective Bargaining processes and future AGM’s.
